Explore Space With Your Own Eyes

Imagine the splendor of our solar system, if only you could zip around it and see the moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, the surface of Mercury... with your very own eyes. The amazement of space exploration, the opening of the solar system to human eyes for the very first time, is exactly what artist and curator Michael Benson sought to capture with the Otherworlds exhibit.
Transformed from the best imagery from remarkable missions of robotic spacecraft into Natural History Museum exhibits and now brought to you in this fantastic full-color photo book, this publication allows you to explore the solar system from the comfort of home. Start in low Earth orbit and then move on to the Moon and our planetary neighbors, Mars and Venus. Then explore Mercury and the Sun before traveling to the gas giants of the outer solar system - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune - and onward to Pluto. All of these spectacular high-resolution landscape images are processed by Michael Benson to capture how the planets would look if we could visit them and see them with our own eyes.
