Divergent Faction Symbols
Faction before blood
It's hard to imagine picking a single characteristic you'd like to focus the rest of your life around when you're just 16. When we were 16 we were watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it's not like we... oh wait.
Which faction are you? The first thing you do when you read or see Divergent is to mentally choose which faction you'd be in. Obviously, you're Divergent, because you're the protagonist, but which faction would you train with and try to be initiated into? (Or would you go Factionless?) Looking back, it would have been much easier to pick Dauntless at age 16 than it would be today, especially knowing that you might eventually end up Factionless when you got to an age where your body prevented you from being Dauntless. And, then again, how jaded do you have to be at 16 to pick Candor? Truth is important, sure, but it's your raison d'être? That's a harsh life. Then again, we think probably the same sorts of people who would pick Erudite at 16 would probably pick Erudite later in life. Abnegation and Amity we're not sure. Are those qualities you develop over time or are they innate? And if they're developed, would you have had the experiences to give them to you by 16? True, we are talking about a post-apocalyptic world. So maybe.
We're not making you choose. The symbols for Erudite, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, Abnegation inked spraypaint-style on the front of this black, 100% cotton shirt. Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Imported.
