The gods gave you two hands, and you use them both for your weapon. I can respect that.
- Guard, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The two-handed sword is an intimidating weapon. You can't just slap it in a regular scabbard at your waist and go on your merry way. You gotta get a back scabbard for that thing if you don't want to be holding it. But just holding it is impressive. If you can rest your chin on your pommel, that's a srs sword. When you carry a two-handed sword, you're saying that you mean business. And also that the ranks of the opposing pikemen are about to be routed, but fortunately that doesn't come up much in everyday activities.
