ThinkGeekoween Pinterest Challenge

Pumpkins by @comic_fiend using some of our templates.

We've had a Pinterest account for awhile now, but we haven't done anything nefarious with it yet. Let's change that, shall we?

ThinkGeekoween Pinterest Challenge of DOOOOOOM

Since you guys love Halloween as much as us--we can tell from the photos you've posted to our Facebook wall and shared on Twitter--let's do something with Halloweenery on Pinterest.

  • Pin a photo of your geeky pumpkin, costume, or other Halloweenery handiwork with tag #ThinkGeekoween by 12 noon ET Friday, 11/2 and enter the url into our form (now closed) below.
  • We'll choose our favorites and repin them to our ThinkGeekoween board. Are we biased on what's geeky and awesome enough to go on our board? Probably. Them's the breaks.
  • We'll let the masses vote by repin through 6pm ET Friday, 11/2. We'll keep adding pins to our ThinkGeekoween board until the close of the contest, but as you can guess, you have a better chance of winning if you pin it soon, so get on that.
  • The 3 pins from our ThinkGeekoween board with the most repins from unique users will each win a $100 ThinkGeek gift certificate. If you don't have your Twitter account linked from your Pinterest page, we might have to do some acrobatics to get in touch with you if you win. This could be interesting.

Some details you might be interested in if you're into details and stuff: 1. You can pin more than one thing with the tag #ThinkGeekoween, and we may pin more than one of your pins to our ThinkGeekoween board, but even if your three pins make it to the top three slots, we'll choose two more winners. 2. We will make every reasonable attempt to verify that the item you pin is your own and not from the internet at large. (Don't be tricksy.) 3. Your pin can be something you've already pinned before; just add the tag #ThinkGeekoween. 4. No purchase necessary to enter, but you will need a Pinterest account, which is free.

Make sense? Get pinning, and watch our board on Pinterest!

P.S. We went to the pumpkin patch last week and had a good time. Here is photographic proof:

meaningless icon! Hi there Think Geek! I was wondering if the winners had been chosen? I submitted the picture of my four boys with the TARDIS and I just now realized that I didn't link my Twitter account to my Pinterest account, so sorry!
