See all the Stuff On Sale

On August 13, 1999, ThinkGeek was born, and for its 10th birthday we wanted to give it something really special.*

Give us Feedback!

So we told the holodeck computer to simulate the ultimate redesign, a redesign that not even our own designers and code monkeys could top. Unfortunately, it took over the ship. Luckily, our designers and code monkeys all went on shore leave when the holodeck thing was announced, so we were able to get a new ship, defeat our holodeck-generated foe, and still complete the redesign in time for ThinkGeek's 10th anniversary. Here's the result!

Despite outward appearances, you might notice it's not completely different. Much of how you interact with the site will feel very familiar, even though the look has changed. Want to know more? Read on...

A non-exhaustive list of what's actually new:

  • Changes under the hood to improve performance. For example, viewing lots o' products per page should be zippier.
  • Layout and design changes (natch) including more color, less icky tables for layout, and a fixed width.
  • More Timmy-fied. (Who is Timmy!? He's our monkey mascot, of course.)
  • Lots more YOU! More action shots, Tweets, videos, haiku and other silliness peppered throughout the site.
  • Back-end improvements that make it easier for us to more quickly add great new features for our zombie monkey army (that's you, btw). In the future, be on the lookout for more and quicker updates to the site, to not only make shopping on the site more betterer, but to take your overall ThinkGeek experience to the next level of Awesome(TM).

We hope you enjoy your stay on ThinkGeek v3.0.42, but if you run into any issues, please click that annoying little green tab to your left to let us know. Our codemonkeys appreciate your help (and positive feedback, too). Got any ideas for what you'd like to see in the future at ThinkGeek? Let us know! Click that little green button and let us have it.

If you get weepy and miss the old site, please recall that the Wayback Machine's ThinkGeek will always be there for you, though it doesn't cache boxes of tissues.

Onward,

The ThinkGeek Redesign Project Monkeys
