Other solutions can't hold a candle to it

Jellyfish are pretty awesome. Radial symmetry is so far superior to bilateral. They were around before the dinosaurs. And they get a billion points for bioluminescent glow. However, we found out the hard way that we have to admire them from afar. (And even afarther for Irukandji jellyfish, which can fire their stingers.) Until further notice, there will be no more jellyfish hugging sessions.

But you can safely hug the LuminAID, which looks a lot like a glowing jellyfish. It can provide up to 16 hours of continuous light, enough to light up a 125 square foot space. Its inflatable TPU body conveniently folds up when not in use, but transforms into a translucent lantern when you need it. It fully recharges in 7 hours of direct sunlight, is waterproof up to 1 meter deep, and can float. (That's how we came up with the jellyfish analogy.) We think it'd be fun to toss in a pool for a party, but it's practical to keep around the house for a power outage or as part of your EDC. And it'll keep a charge for a year, so if you put it in your emergency kit, you only have to recharge it when you go in to switch out your soup and peanut butter.
