Maneki neko says "ohai!"
Seeing a lucky cat upon entering an establishment makes us feel warm and fuzzy. Of course, we could be saying that because it's often a restaurant we see them in and while we're writing this we're craving dinner. But still. Lucky cat = awesome.
Maneki neko is apparently all about crossing the cultural divide. She often greets us at the door to our favorite Korean and Chinese restaurants, despite being of Japanese origin. Which we are completely okay with. And, we'll admit that every time we enter a restaurant that has one of those Chinese Zodiac placemats, we recalculate our sign, as if it's going to have changed since the last time we enjoyed Hot & Sour soup. So don't be surprised if folks stop you to find their sign on your shirt once they figure it out.
Maneki neko dressed up as the various animals of the Chinese zodiac on a red, 100% cotton shirt. Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Imported.
