Perfect for Gen Con

Oh, the old Wandering Monster Tables, the safetynet of many a poor-planning GM or a thinking-outside-the-box group of PCs. It's been a long time since we've thought about you and taken your name in vain, Random Encounter Table. So many strange things happen when these tables come out. Your party rounds the corner in a castle, and suddenly comes face to face with a dire weasel, apparently a science experiment gone wrong (or right, if you're the weasel). Or, rather, in 1d10 minutes after the party rounds the corner 1d3+1 dire weasels show up. Yes, random encounters keep players more honest, not blowing through all their spells or abilities at once. They make the characters wonder which bits of the narrative are essential to the plot (unless the GM spreads the various tables across the table to roll). And they introduce a real-life element of weirdness into the game, but we're not here for real life. If we were here for real life, we'd go outside. We're here for the magical mystery tour, which may or may not include 1d4 angry kobolds.

"Random Encounter" in white ink on a black, 100% cotton shirt. Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Imported.
