You need a bow tie. Bow ties are cool.

The Third Doctor, Jon Pertwee, is a more complicated Doctor to cosplay, because he didn't necessarily stick with one outfit. Luckily if you go with a velvet smoking jacket and frilly shirt, you're pretty identifiable as long as you have the poofy hair. And, well, an Inverness cape never hurts. And Bessie.

The Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith, likewise, changed out his bow ties, which makes cosplaying him that much more complicated. Fortunately, for us, ties are much less expensive and take up less space in your costume closet than smoking jackets. Plus, it never hurts to have more than one around for fancy dress occasions.

With that in mind, we present a reproduction of the tie the Eleventh Doctor wears in the 50th anniversary episode, "Day of the Doctor." Purple silk with white polka dots, the tie comes pre-tied to maintain its shape, but can be untied if you want to prove you know how or adjust the fit. However, be sure you know what you're doing if you untie it. None of the Sonic Screwdrivers we carry will get you out of that dilemma.
