"Send more Chuck Berry"

It's funny that it's the sound that sets a record apart, and yet when visually identifying them, we do it by their covers, a completely separate object. Even now in this digital age, applications still as if you want to load the "cover art" to help you identify the music. Humans. We're visual folks, even when it comes to our sounds.

So it isn't terribly surprising that when we think of the Voyager Golden Records, what comes to mind is the set of diagrams that are actually on the cover and not the record itself (well, or Carl Sagan, because, you know, CARL SAGAN). Designed to protect against micrometeorite bombardment in deep space, the Voyager Golden Record Sleeves show hypothetical beings how to access the information on the record itself and how they'd find us. They explain in the language of science and math what we're all about, which is a pretty neat way to introduce yourself if you ask us.

Commemorate this time capsule of Earth by hanging it on your wall. This plaque with a brass reproduction of the disk comes with a museum-style label and a booklet explaining the diagrams themselves.
