Hold your place in your delicious horror novel

So there's a bone we'd like to pick. There seem to be some young geeks who think that vampires are these trendy, sparkly things. Or that they live among us and drink blood that they can order at a bar like a beer. Please use the following to enlighten them: Vampires first came onto the scene in eighteenth century poetry. Quite possibly the coolest bit of vampire knowledge you didn't know? Back in the mid-Victorian era there were pamphlets known as "penny dreadfuls." They were a tiny bit of gruesome horror writing for an equally tiny price and a guy named James Malcolm Rymer wrote a series of stories about the blood-drenched exploits of one Varney the Vampire. He was not sexy, nor did he sparkle, but man did Varney have a thirst for the red stuff.

Liquid Bookmark

These bookmarks are deliciously evil and look like melted red wax or blood, depending on your bent. Made from silicone, each one is hand poured by a Japanese artist who may be part vampire for all we know. (We have a don't ask, don't tell policy about blood sucking.) Every one of these is totally unique and one of a kind. Hook it over your favorite book to hold your place and show off your love of O Negative.

  • Bookmark made of red silicone
  • Each bookmark is a totally unique shape and hand poured by the artist himself
  • Is it melting red wax or blood? (We don't recommend licking it to find out.)
  • Perfect gift for that girl you know who is obsessed with that series of books about vampires
  • Imported from Japan
