Sodium Chloride tastes good

Probably one of the first chemicals we geeks ever learned about is Di-hydrogen-oxide (H₂O), but probably second was NaCl. Sodium Chloride is also known more commonly as ordinary table-salt. The chemistry of salt has been well known for ages, but what has been known longer than that is this: your food usually tastes better with a little bit of salt and pepper.

Geeks, while of greater-than-normal human intelligence, are similar to the rest of humanity in that they, too, appreciate the addition of salt and pepper to their food. What they do like, though, is delivering those spices in geeky and stylish ways. These shakers are printed with the chemical formula of salt, and an admittedly creative representation of pepper.

It would be awesome if we could put the entire makeup of peppers' flavoring agents on its container, however there isn't enough room for the more than 100 volatile compounds visible in ground black pepper. So, I suppose, P_e + (P_e)r will have to do.
