For us geeks, convenience, utility, and portability are the adjectives that describe our gadgets and appliances. So when we found the Portable Laundry Pod, our brains immediately started working. Who would use it? Why use this over a regular washing machine, coin-operated or otherwise? What kinds of activities would a hand-cranked laundry bucket enable?
Our apparel merchant, surrounded at all times by t-shirts and hoodies in various states of cleanliness, immediately latched on to the product. Being able to wash just a couple of items of clothing at a time, without having to waste a lot of water, appealed immediately. She's also a regular at the local Renaissance Festival, and knows the trouble the players go through having to launder the costumes they wear every day. The idea of just having two outfits, one on your frame, and one in the Laundry Pod, would be an advantage.
Our hyper-minimalistic designer thought that the Laundry Pod's tiny size and lack of need of electricity appealed to his zen-like desire to reduce clutter. The Laundry Pod fit snugly under his kitchen sink, out of sight, until he needed it.
Our busy code monkeys, always multitasking, hate having to haul a hamper full of clothes to the laundry. The inefficient use of time while waiting for clothes to wash seemed like such a waste. With the Laundry Pod, 10 minutes is all you need to wash your clothes.
Not to oversell the point, you still have to dry your clothes - as efficient as a hand-cranked washing machine is, you still can't change the laws of physics here, but for portability, efficiency, and ease of use, you still can't beat the Laundry Pod!
