Men do not understand the concept of throw pillows. In fact, most men do not ever in their lives own a throw pillow, unless said throw pillow was brought into his living quarters by a female. Because seriously, what do throw pillows do? They sit on your sofa, watch your television, and do absolutely nothing. You can't even SIT on them - and really, who needs more padding on an already padded sofa? It's just over-egging the pudding. They're little sofa parasites... or perhaps pets for your furniture. But they're pretty much useless.
Women, on the other hand, totally grok the throw pillow. For starters, it's the best way to add a splash of color to your living room. Secondly, sofas look naked without them. Thirdly, they are convenient for hugging when your significant other isn't around.
