Frakking good show, frakking tiny statues
Ronald D. Moore set off a firestorm of crazed slobbering fans when he took a beloved franchise and turned it into something barely recognizable. The last battlestar, Galactica, led a ragtag fugitive fleet across the galaxy in an almost Sisyphusian quest for Earth. Fans all over the world lapped it up like honeyed nectar. Sure, the ending left a few folks scratching their heads, but what good show doesn't?
Shortened seasons, writers' strikes and strange plot twists can sometimes leave fans wanting. It's like a drug - the more they get, the more they need! Going to the well again with straight-to-dvd movies is one way to do it, but the fans want something more! They want lilliputian cartoony representations of their favorite characters from the show! It's true, believe me!
And here they are! The Battlestar Galactica Little Frakkers! Cartoony representation of our favorite cigar-chomping blonde badass Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, and the sentient but not really all that bright Centurion. Rendered beautifully in cast resin, Starbuck's got her sidearm out, her helmet ready, and a hand-rolled Picon stogie 'twixt her teeth. That frakkin' toaster's got his eye on you and beckoning for you to "come get some." Both include mirrored peg stands to give them added support while standing majestically on your bookshelf.
There may not be any more BSG available to watch, but you can still enjoy some high-quality, limited edition, artwork. So, frak off and spend some cubits, would you kindly?
