Pirate Hold 'Em, Anyone?

In between long campaigns of violence, pillaging, cursing, and other socially unacceptable forms of behavior, pirates had a lot of "down time." And since they were at sea, there were very few activities which could relieve their ennui. Some whittled new legs for their friends, others styled their facial and/or chest hair, while still others worked on cabaret acts. After a while, though, even those diversions became tedious. What was a pirate to do?

Legend has it while on one such long sea voyage, an unnamed pirate said something like, "This be boring. Let's play cards." All it takes is one visionary and the whole world can change overnight.
