Only works if you're a wizard, sorry
It appears we don't have any wizards or witches on the ThinkGeek staff. We unboxed this very swanky looking Wizard Chess set and Fraize and Mindel sat down to do battle, wizard a wizard. They wore their robes and everything! But as much as they furrowed their brows and concentrated their will, they could not get the pieces to move. Fraize burst a blood vessel in his eye, he was straining so hard trying to move the first pawn.
We went through the rest of the staff and the results were the same. Though we have a Wizard Chess board that looks exactly like the one in the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone film, complete with cast resin pieces that are also movie accurate, it appears to actually play the game, one must be a wizard. The closest we got was Mary-Raevyn, who was able to get one rook to twitch a little bit. So if you call our Customer Service department wondering about wizarding, best speak to her. She's the best we have. We suppose you could use it to play Muggle Chess. It's not quite as barbaric, but it'll have to do.
