Gamers generally aren't the most patient people. Sure, in every group there's one person who's never ruffled. That person plays the Cleric or maxes out Diplomacy in order to talk his or her way out of potential situations while the rest of the party is busily hacking away at the problem. When faced with an impatient driver in the rear-view mirror, gamers see that person as infringing on their territory -- their 5-foot square... er, hex... or whatever geometric shape your form of the game uses to measure physical space. Warn fellow drivers that now is not the time to try your patience by crowding your space.
