Happy SysAdmin Day!

It is the annual day on which we sing the praises of the underappreciated and overworked, those who make much modern work technically possible, those who suffer in overheated server rooms and crawl around indecorously under desks, the SysAdmins of the world. We appreciate all you invisibly do every day to keep the signal flowing. And so, we salute you, SysAdmins! Also, if you are an unemployed (or unhappily employed) SysAdmin in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area - we are hiring!

Star Wars Darth Vader Lightsaber BBQ Fork - Oh the irony

If your images were on you'd see Star Wars Darth Vader Lightsaber BBQ Fork - Oh the irony

Why irony? Because, if you think about it, Vader became Vader after getting BBQ'd on Mustafar. But that never stopped this man/machine from BBQ'ing as often as possible. Vader actually had a grill right next to that weird pod-thing that put his helmet on for him. In fact, you know that infamously-unshielded thermal exhaust port? Yup, that went straight to Vader's grill. And while grilling, there was only one BBQ fork he'd use: this one! Because it had a scaled down handle of his lightsaber hilt, Vader knew it would never lead him wrong while flipping meat and such. And now, through the miracles of temporal grilling technology, we bring you your very own Star Wars Darth Vader Lightsaber BBQ Fork. Because you can't spell "BBQ" without S-I-T-H!

Terror of the Deep Shark Glass - Going fishing

If your images were on you'd see Terror of the Deep Shark Glass - Going fishing

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the kitchen to get a drink... sharks attack! This 12 oz glass cup has a secret. As you drink down the liquids, a shark appears. And it's not just sitting happy; it's coming up at your face ready to bite your lips off. Of course, the shark isn't real, but it is real awesome. And even better, you can flip the glass over (assuming it's empty) and fill up the shark for what we lovingly call: a Shark Shot. A Shark Shot is almost a triple shot (going by US shot standards), so it really packs a punch. Just like sharks. Well, sharks with boxing gloves on, anyways.

Star Trek The Next Generation: Picard's Jacket - Make it sewn

If your images were on you'd see Star Trek The Next Generation: Picard's Jacket - Make it sewn

This jacket was to Picard what the green wraparound tunic was to Kirk: a little something-something to make the captain stand out. And now we have the reproduction of Picard's Jacket that makes our trekker hearts beat faster than the fastest warp speed. Patterned after a screen-worn jacket, this replica matches color, outer fabric, lining fabric, and awesomeness of the original. Slip into Picard's Jacket and you'll feel a mantle of command on your shoulders. You'll be more confident, clever, and captain-y. It's almost like Sir Stewart has a hand on your shoulder - or he's hugging you. Win-win, right?

Adventure Time BMO Tin Tote Gift Set - What time is it?

If your images were on you'd see Adventure Time BMO Tin Tote Gift Set - What time is it?

It's lunch time! And there's no better way to cart around the foodstuffs for your face-stuffin' that in this BMO Lunch Box. The lunch box part looks like BMO (front, back, and sides all looks like the corresponding parts on our favorite, sentient, crazy video game unit thingie). Plus, because no lunch is complete without something to wash the food down your throat, there's a BMO-rific, insulated beverage container. BMO's liquid holder has little BMO faces all over it. And because it's BMO carrying your lunch, you have free reign to play with your food. BMO would want it that way.

William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return - Part the Sixth

If your images were on you'd see William Shakespeare's The Jedi Doth Return - Part the Sixth

This is the final part of the original trilogy that William Shakespeare penned about adventures in the heavens. This one features love, death, sacrifice, redemption, and lots and lots of Ewoks. We have to admit, even in iambic pentameter, sometimes we just want to punt 'em. Anyways, for the first time ever, modern audiences can learn about the conclusion of this epic Elizabethan tale. And even though it's a spoiler if you haven't read "The Jedi Doth Return," we have to whet your appetite a little: the Rancor sings. That fact alone is sure to make this tome an instant classic all over again. William Shakespeare... light-years ahead of his time.

Giant Solar Balloon - Just 2 get you 99 ft. of luftballoon

We wish this worked at night. You know how every time Animal Planet airs that "documentary" on mermaids people start calling on NOAA to end the "coverup?" This would be awesome to fly right after some special on UFOs to freak out your neighbors. And at night, it'd just be a large black shape, blocking out light. Alas, this awesome 50 ft. long balloon relies on sunshine to make its science go, so you won't be starting any neighborhood-wide panics any time soon. Although you might teach your neighbors and your kids a little about buoyancy, convection, thermodynamics, and solar power, which is always good.
