Today's Richard Ayoade's birthday. We adore Moss, his character from The IT Crowd, and the way he embraces who he is. "I like being weird. Weird is all I've got. That and my sweet style." While we're here we'll mention that we fought to be the single U.S. source for officially-licensed merchandise from The IT Crowd. We don't know exactly where the proceeds go, but we think Graham Linehan gets some of it, and we like rewarding folks who have awesome brains.

Star Trek Borg Cube Whiskey Chillers - Cold like a Borg's heart

If your images were on you'd see Star Trek Borg Cube Whiskey Chillers - Cold like a Borg's heart

When cold drinks get warm, it's sad. When tasty drinks get watered down, that's sad, too. When both happen, it's as if the Borg have suddenly appeared and assimilated all the happiness we will ever have. So, do what we do: rip the implants of out a Borg's cold body (they're steel), pop 'em in a freezer, and then add THOSE to your drinks. The steel implants will keep your drink cold and it won't water down your beverage like melting ice. Ok, so that's icky. Instead, use this sextet of steel cubes with the Borg insignia on them. You'll get a soft Star Trek back to keep them in (or store them in the Borg Cube-esque box they come in). Resistance to warm drinks is futile.

Jot Script Fine Point Stylus - Evernote Edition

You saw that link in your Facebook feed about handwriting, right? Recent studies show that typing and writing activate different neural patterns and writing by hand helps us process new information. Instead of bringing your laptop to take notes in class or meetings, bring your iPad (or tablet) and the Jot Script Fine Point Stylus. With a 1.9 mm tip, the Jot Script will transform your stylus experience into one of precision. Intended for iOS (but usable on other capacitive devices), the Jot is optimized for Evernote and Penultimate. We predict you're going to enjoy writing with it so much, you'll get the dreaded handcramp. It's worth it.

Video Game Songbooks - Ba-ding!

If your images were on you'd see Video Game Songbooks - Ba-ding!

Without music, video game soundtracks would be nothing but us cursing when we mess up. Many video games soundtracks are so rooted to our happy memories, which is why we flipped when we found these songbooks. Sheet music for Minecraft, Journey (first ever Grammy-nominated video game score), Super Mario (spanning almost all his games), and The Legend of Zelda (again, spanning almost all the games) wait for you to tinkle them out. Minecraft and Journey come in intermediate/advanced piano scores, but Mario and Zelda have three options: easy piano, advanced piano, or guitar. Get these, practice up, and soon you'll be jamming along to your favorite video game tunes. Because NOTHING tops the joy you'll feel the first time you play The Legend of Zelda main theme all by yourself. Link and Mario will be proud.

Star Wars Storyboards Original Trilogy - 1200 illustrations

If your images were on you'd see Star Wars Storyboards Original Trilogy - 1200 illustrations

When movies are made, they normally get storyboarded to plan shots and effects and all that. When the original Star Wars trilogy was made, many artists created storyboards. Some were used, and some went unseen for decades. For the first time ever, all the storyboards made have been collected in one book. Inside, you'll see a full set of storyboards by legendary artist Joe Johnston, as well as early boards for Episode IV by Alex Tavoularis and for Episode V by Ivor Beddoes, rarely seen Episode VI boards by Roy Carnon, and Ralph McQuarrie's never-before-seen storyboards for Episode V. Star Wars Storyboards Original Trilogy IS the book you've been looking for.

KOR Geomag Tazoo - When magnets evolve

If your images were on you'd see KOR Geomag Tazoo - When magnets evolve

There are two different species of Tazoo - one grew up on land and one in the sea. Each starts as bunch of pieces and you get to assemble them in myriad of ways. First, attach the plastic bits (with embedded magnets) to the steel sphere. This forms the guts of the Tazoo. Body pieces attach to these guts to form the body (in any configuration you desire). Now you are looking at a weird shape and one final pile of pieces. But plug these extra pieces into the Tazoo, and suddenly eyes, fins, spikes, and other bits form. And since all the Tazoo parts are interchangeable, you can combine many kits into one unique creature. We call our Tazoo: King Zakatak of the Swamp. He's green.

Brunton Hydrogen Reactor Portable Fuel Cell System - No, srsly

If your images were on you'd see Brunton Hydrogen Reactor Portable Fuel Cell System - No, srsly

You get two, maybe three charges for your smart phone out of your backup battery before you had to head back to the land of the sockets. What if you could get 6 charges out of it? What you need is a hydrogen reactor. Meet Brunton's system, which includes a Hydrogen Reactor, Hydrogen Core, and H2O Hydrolyzer Charge Station, which gives your devices the power of fuel-cell technology. Our favorite bit about this system, other than being able to say we have a reactor in our closet, is that unlike lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen fuel cells do not lose charge when they hang out for months not being used. That means it's perfect for your short-term bug out bag. One less thing to check every month.
