Fezzik Still Has a Posse

Today would have been the 68th birthday of André the Giant, a man upon whose humor we have oft been reliant. As neighbors, Samuel Beckett did drive him to school. Fate plays odd games, and you never know whom you'll meet. So thanks to a giant amongst men; we mean it. Now, anybody want a peanut?

Quest for the Geekiest Campus - And the winner is...

If your images were on you'd see Quest for the Geekiest Campus - And the winner is...

A long, long, time ago (well maybe just back in February,) we began a quest to find the Geekiest Campus in the country. Hundreds of schools rose to meet our challenge and after much deliberation we are happy to announce this year's winner: Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.)! Praise, swag, and a ThinkGeek hosted trivia night has been heaped upon them for their victory. Check out our blog for details on it all and see how you can help pick a 2nd place school from our favorite runner-ups.

Watch Dogs - Are you ready? We are!

If your images were on you'd see Watch Dogs - Are you ready? We are!

The release date for Watch Dogs is finally just over a week away. Now we can activate our salivary glands again. We'd pretty much given up. But that didn't stop us from believing in what we think is going to be an amazing new game. Quietly in the background while we were waiting, we've been creating Watch Dogs products here at ThinkGeek World Domination HQ, holding them close to our monkey chest. And now you can know our secret. We have Watch Dogs iPhone cases, wallets, pins, wristbands, lanyards, hat, and shirts. Traffic signal changers forthcoming. (Not really, but we wish.)

DIY Print Fabric with Light Kits - Print with the Sun

If your images were on you'd see DIY Print Fabric with Light Kits - Print with the Sun

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas and can now be used to print t-shirts! It's true. These kits come with a special photosensitive ink called Inkodye. Basically, you just ink up your shirt with Inkodye (three colors are available, and you can mix them for more) and apply the included test negative on top. The negative prevents some of the Inkodye from getting hit by the sun. After about 10-20 mins. of sun exposure, you just toss the shirt into the wash with an included detergent (which washes away the undeveloped ink), and boom! you've printed a shirt with sunlight. A shirt that can be now worn and washed like normal because the print is permanent. All thanks to science and our loving Sun.

Multi-colored Fiber-optic LED 4.5 ch Quadcopter - We flipped for it

If your images were on you'd see Multi-colored Fiber-optic LED 4.5 ch Quadcopter - We flipped for it

One of our photographers (who's not known for overt enthusiasm) praised this quadcopter. He claimed it was "Probably the most excited I've been after flying one here." (We'll take his word for it, but that's saying something since he's been here like 5 years now.) It's easy to fly, and with the touch of a button you can flip this baby a full 360°. It employs a 6-axis gyro to know up from down and has four fiber-optic LED loops. The manufacturer recommends it for intermediate-level R/C users, but we think beginners could probably manage it so long as they flew it in a large indoor room.

Chewbacca Lunchbag - For all your nerf herding

If your images were on you'd see Chewbacca Lunchbag - For all your nerf herding

There's a story that during the first Star Wars movie (A New Hope) Chewbacca carried a bag which in the script reportedly contained tools and stuff for fixing the Falcon, but in actuality Peter Mayhew kept peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in it. We got the intel from a Bothan spy, so we're not sure if it's true or not. But it makes a great story, doesn't it? You, too, can carry your apocryphal PB&J sandwiches around in Chewie's bag. Or, rather, a little bag that looks like Chewie. Nobody will dare try to take your lunch, because they know they'll be faced with a mighty roar if they do.

Geiggerrig 1600 Hydration Engine Backpack - Never suck again

If your images were on you'd see Geiggerrig 1600 Hydration Engine Backpack - Never suck again

Bike, hike, climb, spelunk, and camp prepared with the Geigerrig 1600 Hydration Engine Backpack. "Hydration Engine?" Yep. So check this out. The Geigerrig's secret is pressurization. Using a bulb like the one on a blood-pressure cuff, you inflate the bladder to create pressure. Enough pressure that the water literally sprays out when you're ready for it. No more using up your precious oxygen trying to suck water while climbing a steep hill. And built around the hydration engine is a backpack that will hold enough for a 1-2 day trip. Throw in your food, first aid kit, electronics, and a change of clothes. The backpack has an integrated slider chest strap, a removable hip belt, and ergonomic shoulder straps designed for industrial load disbursement. It's the perfect bag for gear geeks.

NeoLev Desktop Hovering Board - Hoverboards gotta start somewhere.

If your images were on you'd see NeoLev Desktop Hovering Board - Hoverboards gotta start somewhere.

In the future we were promised as children, everything was supposed to hover. Cars, houses, cities, and skateboards. Especially skateboards. Well, we don't have a full-sized hoverboard for you (not yet), but we do have this desktop version. It comes with a very Tron-ified pyrolytic graphite board and a base unit containing 5 high grade (N48) rare earth magnets. Gently place the board atop the base, and it hovers. In fact, because the base magnets have a slight curve, you can get the board to oscillate back and forth along the track. And not that there's a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull, but the inspiration a little hoverboard on your desk provides can only be described as "heavy!"
