Happy DNA Day!

Today marks the anniversary of the publication of Crick and Watson's article on the structure of DNA in the journal Nature, so we want to take a moment to thank them. And, of course, special thanks to the oft-unsung heroes Rosalind Franklin and Raymond Gosling whose X-ray diffraction images lit the way for the solution to the double-helix structure conundrum.

Han Solo Rugs - For your own perfect habitation

If your images were on you'd see Han Solo Rugs - For your own perfect habitation

Han Solo in Carbonite comes in many forms. Here at ThinkGeek alone we have him as a business card holder, an ice tray, and a chocolate bar, amongst other form factors. But perhaps in those forms he isn't quite... epic enough for you. That's why we picked up these Han Solo in Carbonite Floor Runners, which come in small/medium (just shy of 6 ft. long) or large/x-large (over 7 ft. long). Wherever you choose to place them, they'll make quite the impression on visitors to your geek pad and also keep their toes warm.

Unicorn Earbuds - A ThinkGeek creation and exclusive!

If your images were on you'd see Unicorn Earbuds - A ThinkGeek creation and exclusive!

Meet ThinkGeek's Unicorn Earbuds, which are guaranteed to make your musical journey even more magical. Tiny unicorns rear up on the outside of these earbuds, making your overall auditory experience 78% more awesome. Think of them like glitter for your ears, only they don't get on everything and refuse to be vacuumed up making people 2 weeks later ask you where you've been. And if people try to interrupt you while you're in the flow and grooving to your headphones, you can tell them to talk to the unicorn.

Baldrick's Tomb Dungeon Crawl Game - An intro into crawling

If your images were on you'd see Baldrick's Tomb Dungeon Crawl Game - An intro into crawling

Dungeon crawls are one of the many things we couldn't live without. The dankness, the ever-changing layouts, the monsters, the loot... oh dungeon crawls are so beautiful. But you don't want your children's first time to be in an actual dungeon - they could miss some treasure. So start by playing Baldrick's Tomb with them. It's a board game that has everything we love about dungeons: the board changes each time you play, monsters appear, loot can be found, and players get to advance through four floors. Whoever has the most treasure at the end of the fourth floor wins! Time to train up a whole new generation of dungeon crawlers!

Star Wars Imperial Seal Bookends - Limited-edition of 1300

If your images were on you'd see Star Wars Imperial Seal Bookends - Limited-edition of 1300

This set of bookends looks just like the Imperial Seal from Star Wars, but neatly chopped down the center much like one could do with a lightsaber. All you need are some books, DVDs, or CDs to put in between them and you have a galactastic way of displaying your most needed reference items. Perfect for cube dwellers who can't install shelving, or at home for displaying your copies of the entire DVD collection (or, you know, just the original trilogy).

Aperture Laboratories 80's Messenger Bag - With real confetti this time

If your images were on you'd see Aperture Laboratories 80's Messenger Bag - With real confetti this time

A scientist on the go needs functionality as well as a tidy appearance, and this Messenger Bag provides. Lots of folks love Portal, but not all of them look good in electric blue and tangerine orange. This messenger bag is a more subdued option for test subjects who wish to remain less highly-visible. It's a great place to keep your office supplies, electronics, and defective turrets back to Wheatley.

DIY Lunar Modules Light-up Paper Toys - Papercraft meets electronics kit

If your images were on you'd see DIY Lunar Modules Light-up Paper Toys - Papercraft meets electronics kit

Some people like papercraft. Some people like electronic kits. These DIY Lunar Modules are for the people who like both. We do. Each kit gets you three different modules: Spaceboy, Alien Girl, and Tabula Rasa (blank, so you can design your own). Fold and glue them together, incorporating a battery, LED, and resistor (all included - one for each module). And that's where these papercraft fly take it to the next level. Because when you plug a module into a lander section, the module lights up (thanks to some metallic tape hiding in the lander, which completes the circuit). Use them as space decorations, fun night lights, or anything else you can think of. These go beyond infinity... and beyond!

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai - Learn the whole story

If your images were on you'd see The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai - Learn the whole story

Buckaroo Banzai is the greatest brain surgeon, rock star, Jet Car driver, and defender of this dimension from evil Red Lectroids we've ever seen. He's a really great guy, to boot. Now, we're not close with him, but we have had a tour or two of the Banzai Institute. Reno Nevada showed us around. He even showed us this book he wrote: the true chronicles of Buckaroo and his adventures across the 8th dimension (the book that the movie was based on). Inside is the story you know and love (told by someone who was there) with even more story that you never knew existed. If you like Buckaroo Banzai, if you've ever wanted a tour of Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems, or if you love adventure and romance and lots of aliens named John, then this the book for you. Because in the immortal words of Buckaroo himself, "I've been ionized, but I'm okay now."

Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade Replica - Do not look directly into the blade

If your images were on you'd see Assassin's Creed Hidden Blade Replica - Do not look directly into the blade

Wear the signature weapon of the heroic Assassins with this prop replica of Edward Kenway's hidden blade. It features a spring-loaded retractable "blade" with a safety; when triggered, blade extends from 1 1/2" to 7" in less than a second. Honestly, even close up you'd be hard-pressed to figure out that this isn't a leather gauntlet and a metal blade mechanism. It's only given away when the blade bends instead of cutting or when someone touches it. And with that kind of speed, it's a good thing it does, too.
