Live fast, die young, leave a beautiful pile of lunar debris

Kerbal Space Program players already know this, but did you know deep space probes can adjust their orbit by aerobraking, using the atmosphere to create drag? First deep space probe to try it out was Hiten from Japan's space program, also the first lunar probe launched by somebody other than the U.S. or the Soviet Union. The 24th anniversary of Hiten's launch, coincidentally, is today. It's just hard to celebrate with Hiten ever since we intentionally crashed it into the moon back in 1993.

Back in Stock - Technomancer - Hood things come to those who wait

If your images were on you'd see Back in Stock - Technomancer - Hood things come to those who wait

Back in 2012 we came up with a fun April Fool's product - the Technomancer Digital Wizard Hoodie. It took us almost 2 years to gather enough mana, but we finally have some you can add to your inventory. We brought them in stock and immediately sold out. So let's try this again. Inside the sleeves of the Technomancer are accelerometers that sense the movements of your hands. Move them in one of nine pre-programmed spell sequences, and the sleeves light from within, the internal speaker booms, and the hood illuminates your face in an eerie glow. Each spell, including fireball, restore health, and thunderbolt, is accompanied by a unique sequence of sound and lighting effects created by over 2 dozen ultra-bright multi-color LEDs.

Bodum b.Over Coffee Brewer - Coffee worth waking up for

If your images were on you'd see Bodum b.Over Coffee Brewer - Coffee worth waking up for

One of the problems when you love coffee is that anything you do pre-caffeination is risky, such as the act of making coffee itself. So although it'll get you a better flavor, you might not trust yourself to brew using the pour-over technique for ~4 minutes first thing in the morning. Let your coffee maker handle the precise timing of the slow pour with automation while you do something simpler and more suited to pre-caffeination, such as checking the day's weather. This Bodum b.Over Coffee Brewer's coffee drips into a 40 oz., vacuum-sealed, double-walled stainless steel interior carafe that keeps coffee hot and aromatic for hours without burning so you can have coffee that goes to 11 all day.

Limited Edition Star Wars Moleskine Notebooks - Use the Force (and a pen)

If your images were on you'd see Limited Edition Star Wars Moleskine Notebooks - Use the Force (and a pen)

If there's one thing we learned about the Star Wars galaxy, it's that there are always slightly new versions of the events of its history. Whether it's a wily Rodian suddenly shooting first, police officers carrying walkie talkies instead of guns, or a young ghost replacing an older ghost, things are always changing. The best way to keep track of all the changes is to write them down. And what better place than these two awesome Star Wars Moleskine notebooks! Everything you love about Moleskine and Star Wars crammed into two sizes - each with a mini poster. Because mini Star Wars posters make everything even better!

If your images were on you'd see Chillpod Wine Bottle Quickchiller - Dressed to Chill

Enjoying a fine wine this Valentine's Day? Pick up the Chillpod Wine Bottle Quickchiller: a sleeve you stick in your freezer that will both chill your bottle to the perfect temperature faster than a fridge can and insulate the bottle so it stays there. Plus, it gives the bottle an integrated handle for easier pouring and a sturdy stand on the table, so there's less chance of accidental spillage, the bane of both beer and wine aficionados alike.

18" Gipsy Danger - The Steel Titan

If your images were on you'd see 18

Since Jaegers are oversized mechas, it only seems right that their action figures should be oversized, too. Most 18" action figures are 1:4 scale. By our math, this version of Gipsy Danger figure is 1:192. So this 18" Gipsy Danger figure is probably going to tower over your other collectibles, and well it should. It has a boatload of articulation, split between ball-joints and hinges, and has a similar range of movement to a robot. A headlamp and the nuclear reactor in the chest glow (white and orange, respectively) with the toggle of a button on the back. Heck, it includes twin chain blades that are bigger than some of your other action figures.

Doctor Who Trivial Pursuit Travel Edition - You know Who

If your images were on you'd see Doctor Who Trivial Pursuit Travel Edition - You know Who

Did you know that Daleks like to eat cheese? Or that the first Doctor never wore underwear? Ok, so we just made those up (we hope), but if you really want to test your knowledge on all things Doctor Who, this is the game for you. 600 questions await your brain: questions about the Doctor, his companions, their travels and adventures, and even behind the scenes stuff on the show. Plus, it all crams into a classic, Trivial-Pursuit-wedge container, so you can take a treasure trove of Who trivia with you where-so-ever (or when-so-ever) you roam. It's time (get it?) for you to prove you're the massive Whovian you claim to be.

Trek Tunic Dresses - Where no woman has gone before

If your images were on you'd see Trek Tunic Dresses - Where no woman has gone before

We've had reproduction uniforms for the J.J. Abrams version of Star Trek for a while, but now we have options for our females who want to go with the minidress look as seen on Uhura and Dr. Carol Marcus in Star Trek: Into Darkness. We waited for version 2, and we think you'll be glad we did. The manufacturer took customer feedback on the first version into account when creating the pattern for version 2, which is 2 inches longer (plus has an extra inch of fabric in the hem in case you need it) and features a hidden side zipper.

Chain Mail Necktie - Perfect for fighting all your office battles

If your images were on you'd see Chain Mail Necktie - Perfect for fighting all your office battles

If you work at a large, uptight corporation, you've probably resisted getting the brainchip implant that turns you into a corporate drone. However, in order to blend in with the rest of the masses, you have to wear a tie. Wouldn't want them to be able to identify the resistance. At least you should enjoy being non-conformist in your little bit of conformity. 19" from top of knot to tip of tie, the ThinkGeek Chain Mail Necktie tells your work nemeses they'd better be on their game, because you're ready for battle. Bring it on!

Doctor Who 3D Mugs - Chrome TARDIS and Red Dalek

If your images were on you'd see Doctor Who 3D Mugs - Chrome TARDIS and Red Dalek

As our customers have pointed out, mugs by their very definition as vessels for holding liquids are 3D, but these mugs are EXTRA 3D, because they feature the shape and textures of the objects they are mimicking. This ain't no Dalek or TARDIS printed on a mug. Boooorrring! You can feel the Dalek's bumps as you drink. You can pop the lid off the TARDIS to look inside. And as an added bonus, this type of 3D doesn't require special glasses or cause motion sickness.
