ThinkGeek is awarding a $500 ThinkGeek shopping spree Grand Prize to one lucky nominated winner. In addition, the person who submits the winning nomination will win a prize package valued at approximately $250. The Grand Prize winner will be choosen by ThinkGeek and it's staff based on the content of the nomination as it relates to System Administrator Appreciation Day. Upon selecting a finalist, ThinkGeek will make all commercially reasonably attempts to verify the nominated person exists and agrees to the terms and conditions of this contest. If they do not, another winner will be selected. ThinkGeek will notify winners via email. No purchase is necessary in order to enter this contest. Entries are limited to one entry/nomination per household. A "household" constitutes a single shipping address. Duplicate entries are ineligible. Sysadmins are cool. You are cool. The contest starts July 7, 2004 and ends July 30, 2004 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

A member (or members) of the ThinkGeek staff will select a winner based on subjective criteria chosen at the discretion of those judging the entries. You may not nominate yourself. Only English language submissions will be considered. All content submitted must be your own original work and not copyrighted material.
ThinkGeek reserves the right to publish winners' names on our web site. Offer void where prohibited, taxed or otherwise prohibited by law. All information will be kept confidential - we do not transfer or resell our databases to third parties. The winner will be responsible for all taxes associated with the prize.

All of your contest entries will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of ThinkGeek, if you attempt (i) to enter the contest through any means other than through participating contest sponsors; or, (ii) to disrupt the contest or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules. And, if either of the above occurs, ThinkGeek reserves the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention in a manner, determined solely by ThinkGeek, that is fair and equitable to contest participants.
Odds of winning each prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the drawing. The winner will be notified by email or phone. Winners will have up to 3 days from the date of attempted notification to respond to the notification. ThinkGeek is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winner.
Each winner will be required to provide ThinkGeek with proof that the winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return a completed and executed affidavit and release as required, an alternate winner will be selected. Winner consents to the use of his/her name and likeness for publicity and commercial purposes without further compensation unless prohibited by law.
ThinkGeek, contest sponsors and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives of ThinkGeek and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; (iii) errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of ThinkGeek that may cause the contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the contest; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the contest.
ThinkGeek may terminate the contest early at its own discretion provided that all prizes will still be awarded. Winners will be drawn from entries received prior to the termination of the contest.
In the event this contest is compromised in any way, electronically or otherwise, that is beyond the control of the Sponsor, the Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of this contest and award the prize among entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal.
