Explore Your Space
Just let your little ones don this fine JR. Astronaut Helmet and engage the countdown sounds. 5... 4, 3, 2, 1, Blastoff! Once your little junior achieves his/her imaginary escape velocity, they'll be truly able to explore the space around them. Make sure they close the spring-loaded retractable visor with the push-button. They can then use the mock boom microphone to relay messages back to mission control and even get an audible 'All systems are go' message (amongst others).
You can even make their experience more real by getting involved. Hurl some cheerios at them while they are exploring the kitchen sector and tell them they are traveling through an Asteroid field. Shine a giant flashlight in their face (with the shield down of course) and tell them to quickly turn course or they'll fall into a giant burning star. And, our favorite, turn off all the lights and tell them they just stepped into a wormhole and the only way out is to eat their broccoli every night and go to bed on time.
