It's Geeky Pumpkin Template Contest time!
We don't know about you guys, but we've been itching to pull out our dremels and gourd knives for weeks!
Now October is finally here and pumpkins everywhere are counting down their last days. The carving, the pie, the roasted seeds, the goats at the pumpkin patch... the $131 ThinkGeek gift certificate and Mystery Box for our winning template!
Enter your pumpkin template between now and Monday, 10/29/2012. (UPDATE! Entries have closed.) We'll print our favorites for our own pumpkin carving party on Wednesday, 10/31. That night, we'll announce our $131 and Super Secret Mystery Box (which may include a few special things) grand prize winner and two $131 gift certificate runner-ups--along with photos of pumpkin gore and our finished masterpieces.

Enter your Great Geeky Pumpkin Template
A few handy guidelines to awesomeness:
- Submit original artwork or a concept we haven't seen before. Cutting and pasting clip art into a Word doc does not a winning template make.
- Think about making your template big enough for an actual pumpkin. Filling a 8.5x11" standard sheet of paper with your design is a pretty good rule of thumb.
- Templates that include impossible to carve areas (like carving a big "O" shape and then expecting the middle to stay put) won't work unless you don't carve that space completely (or specify something tricky like a toothpick to hold it in place).
- If you have more than one design to submit, you'll need to use this form more than once.
- We don't care where you put your template on the internets as long as it's accessible to us. We're willing to work with most filetype, but PDFs are preferred with PNGs and JPGs a close second.
UPDATE! The entry period has ended and the form has been disabled. If you didn't get to share yours in time, save it for next year. Next up: pumpkin carving at TG HQ.
