Halloween Costume Funz at ThinkGeek HQ

Like many of you, we celebrated All Hallows Eve this past Friday at the ThinkGeek Megaplex. Though we ended up forgoing the bowl of cold spaghetti and grapes as well as bobbing for cake (because after all, the cake is a lie), we did have apple cider and a costume contest, so hooray for tradition!

There was a nice array of costume contest entries from both human and canine alike, but the winner by far was our T-Shirt gal, Regan whose rendition of The Stig brought down the house. Check out some of the costumes that graced the halls of TG HQ last week:

meaningless icon! I was Kaylee, my friend was Wash, and then with a little improvising we managed to throw together half of the Serenity crew! We also had some fun geeky activities, like pin-the-nose-on-the-witch, a la Monty Python and the Holy Grail. :)

meaningless icon! I was a steampunky loli-ish pirate thing ( http://tinyurl.com/6xudjv ). Went out trickortreating with tho friend who were pirates and one who was a pirate ghost cat thing - we decided she was the ship's mascot. Got CANDY!

meaningless icon! STIGGIEBIRD I'm suprised, most americans don't even know of the show. As for me, I was the irish pirate wench, full corset (proper boned one, not a 'lookalike') and velvet lace skirt, red and black undertop. Sad thing is, I wear those clothes most the time, not just for dress up!

meaningless icon! The Stig costume is absolutely brilliant! Love it! I work at a library where we had an Alice in Wonderland theme, so I got to be the Cheshire Cat.

meaningless icon! I went to work in my Ren garb and then my husband and I dressed up like the Dresden Dolls (Brian and Amanda) for the parties that night/weekend.

meaningless icon! I love the Dresden Dolls. I just wish I could listen to them at work without using my head phones. :( I myself really didn't dress up, I and a cross platform geek, part geek, part Gothic/Punk, so cloths I wear everyday outside of work is a costume to most people. But I did see some cool costumes. Like there was this group of three guys. One was dressed like a doc, one had cotton on his head and feet, and the other was an ear. The doc would then pick up the q-tip and clean out the ear. It was funny.

meaningless icon! This year I was stuck studying for midterms (phospholipid bilayers CAN result from inorganic processes!) but I used to spend halloween in west hollywood. I've seen the spanish inquisition a'la monty python, all sorts of homestarrunner characters (I make an awesome marzipan as a blond, my head is very bat-like) and even a guy who dressed up as a feature on youtube.com a few years back.

meaningless icon! I had the most AWESOME halloween costume EVER this year. Two words. ZOMBIE. ALICE. yes... sad to say, turns out that the mad hatter was mad because he did not have enough brains to chew on. When poor little Alice followed the white rabbit in to wonderland she was attacked by that crazy top-hatted mad hatter.
