I'm the photographer-in-chief here. All the products have to pass through my office before they can go online, so I get a first look at everything we sell.
As a photographer, my geekish tendencies are manifested in Photoshop rather than at a bash command line. I lose sleep over resampling methods (nearest neighbor for a photo?!) and people who edit files in Photoshop at 66% zoom. My other pet peeve is people who touch monitors, a problem I'm working to stamp out worldwide.
I am geeky in other ways too. I enjoy economics, especially by guys like F.A. Hayek. I have always been fascinated by gadgets. Growing up I was the only kid I knew whose family went to the Consumer Electronics Show for a family vacation.
For my first six months at ThinkGeek I held the Highly Coveted ThinkGeek Excessive Commute Award for driving 95 miles each way. I entertained myself on these trips by monitoring my car's fuel economy, engine load, and manifest pressure with my ScanGauge II.
Things I like: my wife, rainy days, Google Alerts, Governors Island, savoring good food, traveling internationally, intending to read more, and long walks on the beach.
